New CTS Frames Cool Single Board Computers Exposed to Harsh Environments

BURBANK, Calif...CTS, a leading manufacturer of thermal management products, is now offering a new line of custom aluminum heat frames designed for use with ruggedized military and industrial circuit card applications. These heat frames can be sized to fit small daughter cards up to 9U VME and may be used with a bottom plate to stiffen circuit boards and provide additional cooling.

Highlighted Features:

Improves component cooling by providing an efficient conduction
cooling path to the circuit card edge

Features an integrated finned heat sink when forced convection
cooling is provided

Reduces circuit card deflections by raising the natural frequency
of the assembly for shock and vibration hardening

Acts as a Faraday Cage to shield EMI sensitive components

Is designed and built to order to fit unique circuit card sizes
and component geometries including 9U VME

Available in a variety of surface finishes such as chemical film,
anodize and electroless nickel

CTS also designs and manufactures a broad line of extruded, stamped and
machined heat sinks for server, instrumentation, telecommunication, consumer
products and military/aerospace applications.
