Superior Materials

CTS Piezoelectric Products is a leading U.S. manufacturer of high performance PZT ceramics and piezoelectric devices. Piezoelectric Products began as part of Motorola, Inc. in 1969 and was acquired by CTS in 1999. CTS’ knowledgeable experts are continually developing new materials and processes as well as supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

CTS has a range of material compositions that are manufactured in high density (>99.5%) as well as standard density (97%) materials. The high-density materials offer enhanced piezoelectric and mechanical properties for demanding applications. A uniform, fine-grained microstructure (3.0 to 3.5 um grain size) gives CTS piezo products extremely uniform electrical properties from piece to piece and across the wafer.
