CTS Corporation Receives Taiwan’s 2006
Export Processing Zone Outstanding Enterprise Award
Elkhart, IN…CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS) today announced its Taiwan business was
named as the winner of the 2006 Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Outstanding
Enterprise Award by the Taiwan EPZ Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The award was based on CTS Taiwan best exemplifying the mission of Kaohsiung,
Taiwan’s first EPZ.
The award ceremony was held December 1, 2006, in Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Museum. It was conducted by Dr. Hou Ho-Shong, Administrative Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr. Sheng-Bao Tzeng, Director of EPZ Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Mr. Shiunn-Shyang Chen, Vice President of National Science and Technology Museum.
The prestigious award was
presented to Mr. James Chen, Managing Director of CTS Components Taiwan Ltd.
during the 40th anniversary celebration of Taiwan’s first EPZ. The
Outstanding Enterprise Award was presented to six companies from a group of 300
and was conveyed based on management achievement, R&D innovation, marketing
ability, employee development and social responsibility. CTS has been operating
successfully in Kaohsiung, Taiwan since 1968.

Outstanding Enterprise Awards
The Outstanding Enterprise Awards honor companies that best meet the EPZ
mission. In 1966, Taiwan’s first EPZ located in Kaohsiung, came into existence
with four major missions: to expand foreign trade, attract industrial
investments, bring in latest production techniques and offer job opportunities.
The EPZ’s influences on and contributions to the industries as well as local
developments during this period have not only produced results, but also
completed a remarkable page in the history of economic development of Taiwan as
a model for developing countries.
